This is a really, really great cafe. The cafe recently changed its name to “Corner and Bench” – entirely appropriate. Situated on the corner of Bourke Street and Hardware Lane, it’s ideally located for work-time quick lunch or business catch ups. This place is a keeper. It’s one of the more popular cafes in the Hardware Lane area. And unlike most of the places on Hardware Lane, there is no touter trying to get your business. There’s plenty of seating, however, the place is popular so you’ll have to be quick to get a spot. Service is friendly. Simple, unfussy and tasty – what more can you ask for?
The food here is fresh and there’s a lot of variety. Choose from plates of super tasty salads, or order off the menu. And backing their amazing food, is their equally amazing staff. The consistency in their range of brunch selections on display are all scrumptious. On of their best fares is their bacon sandwich. From the bread to the bacon to the dollops of mayo in it everything is always fresh nice and amazing, right from the start.
The best thing was the price point. Everything is priced at the best. You are definitely not going to feel the pinch because the quality of food that your tummy will be filled will be superb.
