You would have heard of this place from a lot of people in and around Melbourne. It is a place where you can cook stuff on your own. Prices on the menu seem decent. Once the food arrives (it’s raw anyways) just marinate it. But the portions are small! Hwaro is suitable for a KBBQ date as the venue is modern and open. Also this place is great for a group setting. The vast array of meat choices, seafood pancakes and the Kim chi stew are delicious and the service is great with the staff coming regularly to check up on the meat. The meats are very tasty and you would absolutely love the korean styled pancakes. We think there could be some improvements on some of the vegetarian dishes.
The vibe of the restaurant is amazing though! It’s wooden furnished with an array of black bars along one third of it. You would leave satisfied with all the dishes including the ox tongue, pork belly and bulgogi and bibimbap with the side condiments. The pear punch is sweet with peeled grapes which tastes like lychee but has a jelly texture and eating it makes you want to drink more of the punch.
