This no frills, simple fast Japanese comfort food place. If you are looking for affordable, filling Japanese food, line up outside, because that’s what the rest of Melbourne also comes here for!

They have a huge variety of set menus, the Assorted Sushi and Salmon Sashimi set menu being the most popular for its variety and the fact that it’s not fried. In the Teppanyaki  menus, go for the Sakana Teppanyaki if you want some zest with your meal. A top tip here, if you visit Kaneda a little after lunch (post 3:30PM), the set menus get discounted! Here’s the perfect excuse for a late afternoon lunch.

The service is polite while not being over the top, the food comes in whopping portions and at the end of it all, your wallet will not look like it’s been ransacked in a highway robbery.
