If you’re looking for a quiet spot to wind up your Friday night, head to one of Melbourne’s most loved icons – The Melbourne Supper Club. This place gets busy so be prepared to queue for large groups. It’s a beautiful space full of plush furniture and elegant touches. Our favourite spot is by the enormous bay window overlooking Spring St and Parliament. After you climb a flight of stairs once you find the entrance which is virtually an unmarked door next to the European, you will receive a friendly greeting and be quizzed as to whether you simply want a drink or a long and lavish indulgence. The place is definitely something. The decor is warm and old fashioned, with a mash-up of comfy barrel chairs and large leather couches. It is a great place to hang out till the wee hours of the morning without feeling like you’re holding the waitstaff back from finishing up – they close at 6am!
Their bar menu, full of hearty delights like mac and cheese, gourmet sausage rolls and polenta chips, is perfect for late night snacking. Wine connoisseurs will appreciate the epic wine list boasting an overwhelming catalogue of wine varieties and regions. So, if this does sound tempting enough then you should definitely come by to The Melbourne Supper Club for a laid back night in the city.
